Free credit report(s)

For those of you who don’t know this, you can get a free credit report every year by going to www.annualcreditreport.com. You actually get 3 reports because there are 3 reporting agencies and you get a free report from each of them, each year. When you get to the part of the application where you select which reporting agency you want to use; just select one of the 3. You can select all 3 at once and get all 3 at once if you want to or you can stagger the reports by only selecting one and then come back, say, like, 4 months later and select a free report from another reporting agency and then select the 3rd agency 4 months after that. That way you are actually getting 3 reports a year and you are getting a new report every 4 months.

I HIGHLY recommend everybody take advantage of the free credit report program!! You would be amazed what you will find wrong on there and it is super easy to get it fixed. I would recommend doing it directly through the credit bureaus as they will contact the creditors and the creditors have 30 days to respond. This is a WHOLE lot less work on you!!

We also have a subscription to truecredit.com. It is $14.95 per person per month but we are immediately notified by e-mail of the slightest change on our reports. This gives you unlimited access to all 3 of your reports and credit scores at anytime (you can even look at it on a daily basis, although that is a little over the top since most places only report once a month) It is well worth the $14.95
